The folding mechanism relies on a central locking bar that clicks into place; users should verify that the lock is fully engaged before putting any weight on the stool. The maximum load capacity is 130 kilograms, suitable for most adults. The stool’s small footprint (step area 30 by 25 centimetres) makes it ideal for reaching high kitchen cabinets, closet top shelves, or garage storage. Once folded, the unit can be slipped into a tote bag, placed in a drawer, or stored behind a door. The feet are equipped with soft rubber caps that add grip on tile, laminate, or concrete floors.
